    Southern Water has asked us to let you know they offer help with bills and services for customers who need a little additional support.     Following Government regulations and guidance, we have worked hard to open the Recreation Ground safely tomorrow (4th July). We want everyone to enjoy our beautiful Recreation Ground safely, so we ask everyone to follow Government advice by Cleaning equipment before and after use, particularly where there are clear touch points such as swing rockers, see saws or metal bars Using hand sanitiser gel or wipes to clean hands during play Washing/sanitising hands for 20 seconds using soap and water or approved gel and foam sanitiser at the beginning and end of play Not touching your face, and coughing or sneezing into a tissue or arm when a tissue is not available Not putting your mouth on equipment, or your hands in your mouth Practising social distancing of 2 metres whenever possible We also ask that you would kindly Not bring food or drink into the Rec Go home if you need the toilet Put your rubbish in the litter bin or take it home with you Follow Skateboard England advice if you are using the half pipe Consider our neighbours, who may be self-shielding If you are intending to wear a face covering, you should be aware that these may pose an additional safety risk when using play equipment and should not in any case be worn by children under 3 years of age.… Read More...   • Whitfun 2018 – Saturday 19th May

    After much deliberation, it’s been decided to move away from the Whitsun Bank Holiday this year and bring the date forward one week, so that our party can celebrate this year’s royal wedding. On Saturday, 19th of May Prince Harry will be marrying Meghan Markle in Windsor at midday. So watch the service on the telly before coming down to the White Horse Inn to celebrate in style. It’s even possible that the royal couple might drop in to see us! More details soon, but put the date in your diary and spread the word.   • Whitfun 2017

    We’re looking forward to hosting Whitfun on Saturday 27th May, which is on the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend. It’s the annual village party and everyone is welcome to join in. All the fun starts from 1pm when we will be welcoming the Men of Wight Morris Men. There’s music and entertainment throughout the day with all the musical talent coming from the local area. Here’s the line-up: 1.00 Men of Wight and formal opening 1.30 Freazy (band) 2.15 Huxley children entertainer 3.15 Ricky J (legend) 4.15 Ventnor Guitar Club 5.00 Square Bob Sponge Pants (band) 6.00 Pinstripe (band) There will be a bar in the beer garden as well as a bbq, cakes from Whitwell WI and even a tuck shop.
